ChatGPT
With web search on, it reads pages live, writes an answer and shows the sites it used.
Rueil-Malmaison · Paris · Paris region
More and more of your customers put their question to an assistant rather than to Google. These tools answer by quoting a handful of sites. We make yours readable and quotable by them: that is GEO, or AI search optimisation, included in our SEO method.

Enter your website address: the tool analyses it in a minute and the report includes an AI visibility score, known as GEO. It checks whether AI crawlers are allowed to read your pages, whether your structured data describes your business, and whether your pages hold questions and answers an AI can lift.

What we are talking about
These tools do not rank ten links: they write an answer from a handful of pages and show them as sources. Being one of them is the whole point. Claude, Copilot and Gemini work the same way.
With web search on, it reads pages live, writes an answer and shows the sites it used.
Always names its sources, numbered, and favours pages that answer the question directly.
A generated summary at the top of some Google results, with links to the pages used.
What we see
Three causes come back on almost every site we audit, and none of them is visible from your screen.
A prospect asks ChatGPT “which tradesperson near me?”. Three names come back. Never yours, and you have no idea why.
A setting at your host, or a robots.txt copied from somewhere else, shuts the door on GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot. As far as they are concerned, your site does not exist.
“A passionate team, always here for you” answers no question at all. With no price, no lead time and no area covered, an AI has nothing to quote.
What AI looks at
Six signals within your reach, applied to every page we produce, including this one.
Two or three sentences of answer at the top of the page: that is the passage an AI lifts.
Prices, lead times, area covered, opening hours: information that can be checked, not a sales pitch.
Name, address, trade, reviews: the same details on the site, the Google profile and the directories.
schema.org mark-up (Organisation, Service, FAQ) tells the machines who you are.
GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot let through, and a summary of your business at the root of the site.
An FAQ for each service, in the HTML and marked up as FAQPage: the easiest format to quote.
What we do
Four deliverables, all included in the SEO retainer, at no extra cost.
AI crawlers, structured data, llms.txt, indexing: fixed first.
The ones your customers put to an AI, and the page that has to answer each of them.
A direct answer up top, precise facts, an FAQ per service, business details made consistent. You sign off on everything.
Question by question, assistant by assistant: quoted or not, and which page.
Local SEO, your Google profile and customer reviews are part of the same work: they are the clearest signal there is for an AI answering a “near me” question.
What we measure
The measurement tools are young. Three records, all of which you can check yourself.
The tools that quote sources, and three signals we work on.
A fixed list of questions put every month to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google: quoted or not, and which page.
GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot in the server logs: proof that they are reading your site.
Positions, impressions and clicks in Search Console: the foundation AI Overviews are built on.
Our method
The same calendar as the SEO retainer: one more requirement on every page, not a separate project.
Week 1
AI crawlers, structured data, indexing, content, and the first questions put to the assistants.
Week 2
Your customers' questions, the page that answers each one, and the detailed quote.
Month 1
robots.txt corrected, llms.txt published, structured data put in place, speed checked.
Ongoing
Pages rewritten, an FAQ per service, business details made consistent, every piece signed off by you.
Every month
The questions put to the assistants again, crawler visits, Search Console. Whatever is not picked up gets reworked.
What you can check
The site you are reading has an llms.txt, a robots.txt that allows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, a breadcrumb trail, an FAQ marked up as FAQPage, and Organisation and Service structured data.
We publish no client figures about AI answers: those answers vary from one person and one day to the next. On a video call we show you our own record, for our own site.
The source code of this page holds BreadcrumbList, Service and FAQPage JSON-LD.

One single H1, H2s written as questions, the FAQ marked up as FAQPage.

Straight talking
We commit to the work listed in the quote, to your site being readable by AI crawlers, and to a monthly record of citations. Never to a position or a lead time: those decisions belong to the assistants.
Price and commitment
Nothing on top of organic search: AI visibility is part of the method. Three ways to get it.
VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code. A written quote, approved by you, before any work starts.
FAQ
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), also called AI search optimisation or ChatGPT SEO, means making a website readable and quotable by the assistants that write answers: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. These tools rely on web pages to answer, and they name their sources. The work aims to make your site one of those sources on the questions your customers ask.
No, and nobody can. Each assistant picks its sources by its own rules, those rules change often, and two people asking the same question can get different answers. We commit to the work done, to your site being readable by these tools and to an honest record of what we observe, never to a position.
Nothing on top of organic search: it is included in our SEO retainer, from 500 € a month, six months minimum, and in the full SEO audit. A one-off project (structured data, llms.txt, question-and-answer pages) is priced on request after a 30 minute conversation.
The foundation is the same: a fast site, properly indexed, with pages that answer your customers' questions. AI adds its own demands: short, direct answers it can lift, precise facts (prices, lead times, area covered), clean structured data, business details that match everywhere, and AI crawlers allowed in. A page that ranks well on Google is not necessarily quotable by an AI, which is why each page needs specific work.
If you want to be quoted, yes. GPTBot (OpenAI), ClaudeBot (Anthropic) and PerplexityBot read your site to feed their answers. Many sites block them without knowing, through a default setting or a plugin. Google AI Overviews rely on the ordinary Google index, so being well indexed there remains the first condition. Our free tool checks this access in 60 seconds.
It is a text file placed at the root of the site that sums up your business, your services, your prices and your important pages in a format a language model can read easily. It is a recent convention and free to put in place; no assistant guarantees it uses it, but it costs nothing and it makes plain what you do. We have one on our own site.
Every month we put a fixed list of questions your customers might ask to the assistants and we note whether your site is quoted, which pages, and with what information. We also track visits from AI crawlers in the server logs and your impressions in Search Console. This record describes what we observe: it does not predict the answer a given prospect will get.
We cannot give a lead time. Assistants that search the web live (Perplexity, ChatGPT with search, AI Overviews) can pick up a page as soon as it is indexed and judged relevant; models trained on a snapshot of the web take months. The work follows the rhythm of the SEO retainer: first measurable effects on Google in three to six months, with a record of citations every month.
