Who it is for, and for what

Who is a bespoke e-commerce website for?

For people who have products to sell and want a shop of their own, rather than a listing on somebody else's platform.

  • A maker or craftsperson selling at fairs or on Instagram

Your customers keep asking whether you have a website. A shop of your own lets them order at any hour, instead of going through your private messages.

  • A high street business that wants to sell beyond its own street

Delicatessen, wine merchant, cosmetics, bookshop: your catalogue online, with click and collect or delivery, extends your shop window.

  • A brand or a producer selling direct

Olive oil, artwork, skincare: selling with no middleman, with your story, your photographs and your prices.

  • A B2B supplier with trade prices

An area reserved for your trade customers, tiered prices, and orders placed online rather than over the phone.

We meet people in Rueil-Malmaison (92) and work over video with shops across Paris and the Paris region, as a web agency in Rueil-Malmaison and a web agency in Paris, and anywhere in France remotely.

What we see

Why do so many online shops fail to sell?

Three situations we come across every week with the shopkeepers and makers who call us.

  • You sell on a marketplace and you own nothing

Every sale leaves a commission behind, your buyers are the platform's customers, and your listing looks like the one next door. When the rules change, you take the hit.

  • Your online shop exists, but nobody buys

A generic template, badly framed photographs, a basket that forces people to create an account, slow pages on a phone: visitors leave before they pay.

  • Orders are taking up your evenings

Orders retyped into a spreadsheet, stock checked by hand, customers chased one by one: the shop should be doing that for you.

What we do

What does an e-commerce website delivered by ConvertiLab contain?

Six building blocks, all of them covered by the price written into your quote.

  • A catalogue and product pages of your own

Categories, filters, variants (size, colour, format), photographs shown off properly, and copy written to sell and to be found on Google.

  • Secure payment with Stripe or PayPal

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. The money lands in your account, with no commission from us.

  • A short basket and checkout

Ordering without creating an account, address and delivery on one page, a clear summary: as few steps as possible before payment.

  • Orders, stock and delivery tracked

Every order reaches you by email and in your admin area. Stock comes down automatically, delivery charged by zone or by weight, click and collect if you have a shop.

  • Your products set up to be found

Product structured data, a sitemap, speed, category pages written properly: the groundwork for Google, and for Google Shopping the day you start advertising.

  • An admin area and training

You add a product, change a price, handle an order or a refund yourself. Training on delivery, and we stay reachable.

What would your online shop cost?

Our free estimator gives you a price range in two minutes. The written fixed-price quote follows within 24 hours of the call.

How we work

How do we build your e-commerce website?

Four steps and one point of contact, from the first call to the first orders. The lead time is written into the quote.

  1. Day 1

    Étape 1 : A 30 minute call

What you sell, to whom, how many lines, how you deliver. You leave with a straight opinion and a price range.

  2. Within 48 hours

    Étape 2 : A free mock-up and a fixed-price quote

A mock-up of your home page and a written quote: fixed price, number of products set up, lead time. Nothing is built before you approve it.

  3. Build

Étape 3 : Catalogue, payment, test orders

We build page by page, set up your products, connect Stripe or PayPal, and place test orders with you, on a computer and on a phone.

  4. Going live

Étape 4 : Training, support and fixes

Domain name, going live, training on your admin area. The fixes that follow the launch are included.

Proof

Online shops you can go and look at, and clients you can read

We do not publish sales figures: they belong to our clients. Here are shops we have delivered, what we did, and the words of the people who own them.

“Billel took the time to understand our world properly and delivered a beautiful site in a fairly discreet and private trade.”

Funestore, B2B E-commerce
The problem
A B2B supplier of funeral products, trading the traditional way with no online presence at all, in a discreet line of business.
What we did
A B2B e-commerce platform: a catalogue built for quick ordering, an area reserved for trade customers with tiered prices, and a sober design.

Art des Roses

E-commerce / Art

The problem
A painter who sold her work at exhibitions only, with no gallery online.
What we did
An immersive e-commerce site, a catalogue by collection and a smooth buying journey, true to her world.
What the client says
“The site shows off my works perfectly and finally lets me sell them online.”

L'Écrin de Séoul

Cosmetics / K-Beauty

The problem
A Korean cosmetics shop in Neuilly-sur-Seine that wanted a site worthy of its world, built to sell.
What we did
A refined e-commerce site, products grouped by skincare routine, and detailed pages that lead from browsing to buying.
What the client says
“The site reflects the world of K-beauty perfectly. It is modern, clear and really makes you want to explore the products.”

Quotations taken word for word from our case studies. No revenue figure is ever published without the client's written agreement.

A marketplace, or a shop of your own

Selling on a marketplace or on your own e-commerce website: what changes?

Selling on a marketplace

  • A commission taken on every sale.
  • Your buyers are the platform's customers, not yours.
  • Your listing uses the same template as the competitor shown beside it.
  • Fees, rankings and rules change without anyone asking you.

Your own shop with ConvertiLab

  • No commission from us, only the payment fees.
  • Your customers, their email addresses and their orders belong to you.
  • A design drawn for your products, with no competitor beside them.
  • You decide your prices, your promotions and your delivery terms.

A marketplace is still useful to get started, or alongside your own shop. If that is your situation, we will say so on the call.

Our commitments

What we commit to, written into the quote

Six commitments about the way we work. None of them promises a sales figure: that depends on your products, your prices and the visitors you bring in.

  • A fixed price written down before we start

The quote sets out what is included, with no extra charge along the way.

  • No commission on your sales

Only your payment provider's fees apply.

  • The shop, the domain and the data are yours

Full access on delivery, customer records included.

  • One point of contact, the founder

The same person from the first call to going live.

  • A mock-up approved before any code

You see your shop before it is built.

  • Fixes included after the launch

Whatever needs adjusting after the first orders is adjusted, with no new quote.

FAQ

Your questions about building an online shop

How much does an e-commerce website cost?

From €1,490, or €65 a month over 24 months spread over time, not a subscription. The exact price depends on the number of products, the variants, the delivery options and the features you ask for (a trade area, click and collect, product subscriptions). It is written into the quote before we start and it does not move afterwards. Our estimator gives you a price range in two minutes.

How long does it take to deliver my online shop?

The lead time depends on the project: the number of lines, the photographs and copy you already have, the tools we need to connect. It is written into the quote, along with the launch date we are aiming for. A brochure site is delivered in two weeks; a shop usually takes a little longer, to set the catalogue up and test the orders with you.

Which platform do you build the shop on?

We build bespoke shops, with Stripe or PayPal for payments, which gives you a design of your own, fast pages and clean search optimisation. If you already have a shop on another platform, we look on the call at whether it is better to take it over or start again on sound foundations, and we tell you straight.

How many products can I sell?

The number of products set up at delivery is written into the quote. After that you add as many as you like from your admin area, with no limit and without asking us: that is what the training on delivery is for.

Do you take a commission on my sales?

No. You pay for the shop to be built, once, in one or several instalments. The only per-transaction fees are your payment provider's (Stripe, PayPal), charged by them at their published rates, and you would pay those on any shop.

Who owns the shop and the customer data?

You do. The site, the domain name, the payment account, the customer records and the order history are all in your name. You receive every access on delivery and you are free to change supplier whenever you want.

How are orders, stock and delivery handled?

Every order reaches you by email and in your admin area, where you prepare it, dispatch it or refund it. Stock comes down automatically. Delivery charges are set by zone, by weight or by order value, with click and collect if you have a shop.

Will my shop be found on Google?

It is delivered with the groundwork in place: product structured data, titles and descriptions, a sitemap, speed, category pages written properly. That is enough for your own name and for specific searches. To go further, our SEO pillar offers a monthly retainer, and our advertising pillar sets up Google Shopping and Meta Ads.

Is paying in instalments a subscription?

No. The monthly figure shown is the price of the shop spread over 24 months. Once the last instalment is paid, you owe us nothing more and the shop stays yours.

The other packages in this pillar

Not sure an online shop is the right format for you?

A brochure site, a landing page for a single product or a redesign may be all you need. We point you the right way on the call.
