What exactly does the design audit check?+
Three families of criteria: legibility (visual hierarchy, typography, contrast, spacing), trust signals (consistent styling, how professional the site feels, reassurance elements) and the mobile experience (responsive layout, tap target size, one-thumb navigation).
What are the most common design mistakes?+
The most frequent ones: too much information with no hierarchy, so the visitor does not know where to look; text that is hard to read (small size, low contrast); a layout that does not work on a phone; calls to action nobody can see; and a dated visual style that undermines the company. My site is a few years old. Should I rebuild it?+
Not always. If the underlying structure is sound, targeted changes to typography, colours, spacing and calls to action are sometimes enough. But if the site is not responsive, is slow, or looks visually out of date, a full rebuild usually pays off better: our redesigns start at €690 and keep your existing search rankings.
Does design also affect my Google rankings?+
